What levels are the pieces?

Each day’s sight-reading consists of an easier piece (or portion of a piece) around the level of a Clementi sonatina/Bach 2-part invention, and a more difficult piece (or portion of a piece) around the level of a Beethoven sonata movement/Rachmaninoff prelude.

What if I can't make it to most/any of the live class meetings - is this class still for me?

Yes! The class meetings are recorded and made available following each live session. Participating in class allows students to build a sense of community, and immediately ask any questions that come up. But, this class can be taken completely asynchronistically – we are happy to have you join however works best for you.

Do we have to play in front of other people?

No! I will demonstrate the technique live during the class session. Students will try the technique during the class session, with their sound turned off.

Is there homework?

New pieces drop every day of the course, to give you consistently fresh opportunities to try the technique. But, there is nothing for you to turn in. Play as many or as few days as works for you.
